The Clinical Trials Network (CTNx) was established in 2016 by Dr. Keith Friedenberg, a practicing gastroenterologist, who has been conducting research for nearly 20 years. He encountered many challenges while learning to build his own very successful research program and was inspired to create a unique network focused on helping fellow physicians interested in getting involved in clinical research.
Dr. Friedenberg’s aim was to create a Network unlike any other that was physician-centric and eliminated many of the barriers private practice physicians, multi-specialty groups, and hospital systems faced when getting started with clinical research. CTNx’s proven model has cut clinical trial start-up times in half while also eliminating nearly all of the administrative and clerical tasks involved in research.
The CTNx has helped more than 80 research sites in the United States to date, developing and managing successful research programs in various fields such as Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Cardiology, and Women’s Health.
